Women in Philanthropy (WIP) is a signature initiative of The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia that unites faith-filled women to collectively fund grants and strengthen local Catholic organizations through a common purpose and community.
Three Pillars, One Shared Mission
Through the shared commitment of its members, this initiative is centered on three pillars: building community, celebrating service, and amplifying impact.
Building Community
Our spring Award Luncheon celebrates women in philanthropy and presents the Love in Action Award and Women in Philanthropy Grant Award. The fall Networking Forum connects women who work, volunteer, or are exploring careers in Catholic philanthropy.
Celebrating Service
Inspired by St. Teresa of Calcutta, the Love in Action Award honors a Catholic woman whose faith and service have strengthened her community. At the spring Award Luncheon, we also spotlight vetted Catholic organizations to elevate their missions.
Amplifying Impact
The Love in Action Award honoree selects a Catholic organization to receive a special grant in her honor. Made possible through WIP membership, the annual Women in Philanthropy Grant, reflects the power of collective giving.
